Parlour Games
Two players on the same tile can play instead of fight. Nothing is staked or changes hands: no items, chits, experience or stat penalty. Anyone close enough can watch, and everyone in the room can talk. The other kind of play is Fighting other players.
Starting one
| Range | The same tile (adjacent is ambush range) |
| Invite | 10 seconds to answer; silence declines |
| Game | Picked at the table by either player; the first pick counts, with the clock already running |
| Refused | While either is in a fight, in a game, or dead |
The games
| Game | Rules |
|---|---|
| Tic-tac-toe | Nine cells, alternating; a coin decides who holds x, who moves first. Three in a row wins; a full board draws |
| Rock, paper, scissors | Both throw at once, hidden until both are in. First to 3 rounds; a tie spends the round |
The clock
30 seconds a turn. Running out forfeits to the other player; if neither plays, the game is abandoned with no winner.
Watching
A game draws a pawn on a teal disc on the map within 12 tiles. Within sight of it you see the board, the score and the conversation; your moves are not taken. Walking away loses the seat. No watching from a fight.
Leaving
A game ends, with no penalty beyond the game, when a player:
| Event | Result |
|---|---|
| Walks off the tile | Forfeits |
| Closes the game | Forfeits |
| Is pulled into a fight, whoever started it | Game interrupted, no winner |
| Dies | Game ends |
